Changing the Outgoing Server in Outlook Express |
1. Click on TOOLS, then click on ACCOUNTS
2. Click on the tab MAIL
3. Click on your account name and then to the right click on the button PROPERTIES
4. Click on the SERVER tab at the top
5. Change the SMTP server to read:
smtp2.crosslink.net
6. Go down to the bottom of the SERVER screen and check the box "My Server Requires Authentication".
7. A SETTINGS button appears to the right, Click on it.
8. Change the bullet dot to LOG ON USING. This will activate the windows for USER NAME and PASSWORD. Enter in your CROSSLINK USER NAME AND PASSWORD (DO NOT enter in @crosslink.net in with the user name.)
9. Make sure the box is checked to REMEMBER THE PASSWORD
*** DO NOT CHECK THE USE SECURE PASSWORD AUTHENTICATION! ***
10. Click on OK and then click on the next OK. Close the Internet Accounts page and you're done. |
